4. Design

The verification phase is the last phase of the DMADV mythology, and during this phase, the prototype of the chosen design is tested for its intended purpose or function. This ensures the design meets or exceeds the customers’ needs and desires.

The sole purpose of the verification phase is to test the prototype of the design, inspect any samples after testing and decide whether or not to scale up the design. This is generally an ongoing production process, and even after the product is released, you should continue integrating customer feedback into future designs.
