Get Plenty of Rest

It’s important to note that time management does not mean cutting out personal time or other events from your schedule. Ultimately, it comes down to devoting less time to distractions and more time on what really matters.

Using productivity tools will help you maximize your time while increasing overall output. Slack, for example, provides a central platform of communication between various members of a team or work community. This is more productive and time-efficient than sending out individual emails to communicate.

When thinking of the bigger picture for your startup, a software platform that actively plans, tracks, and manages goals is also valuable. Consider OKRs software, which stands for “objectives and key results.”

For an entrepreneur, having a tool to help map this out can increase productivity tenfold. It also cuts back on any surprises in the overall workflow and allows team members to align on what needs to be accomplished.

At your day job, your company assesses employees on an individual level while also focusing on the overall company’s goal. The same principle needs to apply for your side business.

When it comes to business goals, you need to figure out what your top priority is. This will change as the needs of your business shift, but always have one main, ambitious goal in mind. Then, the best way to tackle this is to write down the KPIs that can be used to measure success. Goal setting has to be paired with accountability in order to drive results.
